Background and Experience


Kristen is a founding member of Lindsey + Amonette, PLLC. Her practice includes family law, collaborative law, estate planning, and probate. A Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 listed mediator, Kristen also performs family law mediations.

Admitted to the bar in 2002, Kristen’s practice is client-centered. The legal system can be complex, and Kristen enjoys helping her clients navigate it to achieve the results they desire. An experienced advocate, Kristen is committed to providing a high level of representation to her clients while also guiding them through the process.

Kristen came to Lindsey + Amonette, PLLC, in October 2010 from Nashville law firm Dodson Parker Behm & Capparella PC, where her practice included family law, family law mediation, estate planning, probate, and general civil litigation.

Prior to working at Dodson Parker Behm & Capparella PC, Kristen was a law clerk to the Honorable Marietta Shipley, former judge of the Second Circuit Court for Davidson County, Tennessee, where she was responsible for managing civil cases pending before Judge Shipley and worked with Judge Shipley to draft and edit court opinions addressing a variety of civil and family law issues.

A Tennessee native, Kristen grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, where she attended St. Mary’s Episcopal School and Rhodes College. She is married to Andrew Amonette, an attorney from Portland, Tennessee, and they have two children.
