Joshua is a founding member of Lindsey + Amonette, PLLC, formerly known as Lindsey + Sawyer, PLLC. He was admitted to the South Carolina bar in 1999, to the Texas bar in 2000, and to the Tennessee bar in 2004, moving with his family for his wife’s medical school, internal medicine residency, and gastroenterology fellowship training. Throughout his career, Joshua has dedicated himself to zealously advocating on behalf of individuals and companies in the areas of commercial litigation, labor and employment, major class actions, and Stark Law representation. After practicing commercial litigation and labor and employment law in Houston from 2000 to 2003, Joshua and his family moved to Nashville in 2003 for his wife to complete her gastroenterology fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. They quickly knew that Nashville was to be their permanent home.
Joshua began his legal career in Nashville as an attorney in the labor and employment division at Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis, PLLC, and then as an attorney in both the litigation and corporate divisions at Bass Berry & Sims PLC. When members of his family were personally affected by divorce, Joshua felt an undeniable calling to bring the same passion for zealous representation, relentless advocacy, and dedicated client service to the arena of family law, founding Lindsey + Sawyer, PLLC, now Lindsey + Amonette, PLLC, in January 2010 to assist clients in difficult times of domestic transition. Joshua has been practicing family law exclusively since January 2010, successfully representing his clients in the courtroom, in mediations, and in the collaborative law process.
